Zuni Café

If you want to fully embrace the San Francisco experience, then you must try out Zuni Café. There is something about this place that San Franciscans love. Not only San Franciscans but tourists also come from all over California to try it. Zuni can thank their World Famous Oven Roasted Chicken for its popularity. This chicken is incredible. And just so you know, it does not taste like some ordinary rotisserie chicken. Located at 1658 Market St, San Francisco, CA 94102.

Sotto Mare

San Francisco has to be one of the cities with the best seafood restaurants. With world-class fish houses, crab houses, and oyster bars, The Golden City knows how to cook some seafood. And if you want to go to one of these delicious seafood restaurants, then Sotto Mare is perfect. Whether you are into fish, oysters, or clams, Sotto Mare has you covered. Their Boston Clam Chowder is one of their bestsellers and it is for good reason. Located at 552 Green St, San Francisco, CA 94133.

Original Joe's

Time to go back in time and visit one of the pioneers of Italian-American cuisine. Original Joe's dates back to 1937, making them a true classic. They are most widely recognized for initiating "Joe's Concept," which made them as one of the most famous restaurants in San Francisco. When it comes to their menu, many consumers go the American approach and ask for the Prime Rib. Though the Prime Rib is fantastic, I always stick with my Italian roots and order the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Located at 601 Union St San Francisco, CA 94133.

Top of the Mark

Is there anything better than a great view of the city? Actually, yes, a great view while eating great food. And that is exactly what Top of the Mark offers. San Francisco has one of the best skylines in the country, so why wouldn't you want to see it while eating amazing food. Though they don't offer big meals, Top of the Mark provides small appetizers with terrific drinks. Cheers to that!! Located at 999 California St, San Francisco, CA 941080.

Foreign Cinema

Please tell me you didn't read the restaurant's name and say, "Wait is this a movie theatre." Though they often have a movie playing, it would be disrespectful to regard them as a movie theatre. This is one of San Francisco's most popular and iconic restaurants for its Old World European cuisine. Even though their dinner is amazing, nothing beats going here for brunch. They offer typical European cuisine that is very difficult to find in most restaurants. Located at 2534 Mission St San Francisco, CA 94110.

Tadich Grill

When talking about historic restaurants there is no way Tadich Grill doesn't come to mind. They are the oldest restaurant in all of California, and the third oldest in the country, with an establishing date of 1849. Don't let this make you think they are too old to be good though, because Tadich Grill offers incredible food. They specialize in seafood, providing food that ranges from calamari to prawns. Located at 240 California St San Francisco, CA 94111.

The Buena Vista

I know this is supposed to be a food list, but this place is so iconic that it couldn't be left out. Though they serve good food, food is not the star of the show. Their signature Irish Coffee has been the superstar for over 100 years, and it has been attracting tourists from all over the country. After all, is there a better way to kick off your morning than with some good coffee! Located at 2765 Hyde St, San Francisco, CA 94109.

Scoma's

If you want to see why San Francisco is known for their unique Bay and delicious seafood, then Scoma's is a must. Not only is the seafood delicious, but it is super fresh. All of the food offered here is caught live from their boat. Besides the amazing food, Scoma's offers a waterfront view of the ocean. And I mean, what can beat great food next to the ocean. Located at 1965 Al Scoma Way San Francisco, CA 94133.

John's Grill

It is clear that San Francisco is full of historic restaurants, so it is time that we add one more to that list. Established more than 110 years ago, John's Grill has cemented itself as one of the great restaurants in San Francisco. They are known for an old-school ambiance while providing delicious steaks and seafood. Though the seafood seems delicious, I always gravitate towards those steaks. Located at 63 Ellis St, San Francisco, CA 94102.

House of Prime Rib

If there is one food that San Franciscans can not live without, it would most definitely be the prime rib. I do not know what about it that San Franciscans love. In all fairness, it is delicious. But if you are wondering where to go for the best prime rib, then you have to go to House of Prime Rib. They cook the steak like no other restaurant does. It is extraordinary. Located at 1906 Van Ness Ave, San Francisco, CA 94109.
